BCCA (VIC) was founded as the original ‘Bolwell Car Club of Australia’ (BCCA) in 1968. The Victorian group quickly formed BCCA (Vic), elected a Committee and soon began enjoying social events as well as competing in motorsport events such as the then annual 6-hour races at Winton & Sandown as well as Hillclimbs at Lakeland (Lilydale, Vic) and Morwell (Vic). Initially, Bolwell owners in NSW, SA, Qld and Tas joined the new club in Victoria but the number of cars grew in NSW, SA and WA and led to the formation of their own state clubs.

Over the years, many members have made life-long friends through membership of BCCA. Victorian club members have been active in Club level motorsport, particularly with the Marque Sports Car Association (MSCA) and the annual Victorian Historic Racing Register (VHRR) Phillip Island Classic and Winton Festival of Speed. Club members also often attend these events in a social capacity in addition to organising many other social events including:
– monthly meetings (with attendance consistently averaging 40 members);
– day-runs, including the popular ‘Cup Day’ Run;
– weekends away;
– taking it in turns with other state BCCA clubs to host / attend the annual National Meeting with other state clubs, normally held at Easter, which normally include motoring events, ‘Show & Tell’, dinners, etc.

BCCA enjoys strong support from the Bolwell Corporation who usually host a special Christmas meeting at their factory each year, often attended by many interstate BCCA members.

BCCA (Vic) Inc. is a registered, incorporated Club through Consumer Affairs Victoria and is affiliated with Motorsport Australia (formerly the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport – CAMS).
